Resources for LGBTQ+ Elders

SAGE: Advocacy and Services for LGBTQ+ Elders

SAGE operates at the intersection of LGBTQ+ and aging experiences. Their work ensures that all LGBTQ+ older people have just and fair access to the opportunities they deserve and are free from ageism.

Rainbow Reflections

This group is a vibrant and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals aged 45 and over. Whether you're newly out, rediscovering community, or have been part of the journey for decades, this is your place to connect, share, and thrive. Join us to meet others in your age group, build meaningful friendships, and share the rich experiences that shape our diverse lives in a safe and affirming environment where everyone is valued. Let’s come together to celebrate our stories, our resilience, and the strength of community at every stage of life.

(We recognize this is not an elder only group; elders are welcome to join this group and celebrate themselves within it)

1st Thursday of the month, The Center & Hybrid, 6pm.

Local Community Advocacy Advocating for the Needs of LGBT Older Adults

Too often, older LGBT people delay seeking needed care due to a fear of discrimination from an aging network of service providers that historically have not been welcoming. Efforts are underway at national and local levels to help this network become more welcoming of LGBT older adults. These efforts include creating non-discrimination policies that include LGBT populations, providing LGBT cultural competency training, and developing LGBT welcoming aging programs and services.
